Position1: Support Worker

Description:
We are looking for a full-time, permanent Support Worker to join our team. The Support Worker will be responsible for maintaining high standards in support files, alongside senior support workers and auditors. If any files fail an external audit, all involved parties will be held accountable. A personal car is required for this role.

Key Duties:

As part of the team at Walking Waters Supported Housing, your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting Service Users with Paperwork: Assisting service users with completing paperwork, including budgeting, applying for financial aid, and accessing other forms of support they may require.

Participating in Annual Staff Appraisals: Engaging in performance reviews with the Senior Support Worker to reflect on your work and set future development goals.

Collaborating on Staff Development: Working closely with the Senior Support Worker to follow a staff development plan, attending necessary training and supervision sessions to improve skills and knowledge.

Working Across Multiple Properties: Providing support across different houses in the service and, when required, across other Walking Waters Housing properties.

Conducting Risk Assessments: Carrying out individual risk assessments to identify potential risks to tenants, and making appropriate referrals to support agencies where needed.

Assisting with Tenancy Management: Supporting tenancy management tasks and carrying out welfare checks to ensure tenant safety, well-being, and the maintenance of their housing environment.

Position 2: Maintenance Handyman

Description:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Handyman to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. A personal van or car and your own tools are required for this role.

We need someone who is skilled in a wide range of tasks. With many houses needing regular maintenance, you must be able to work independently and complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard. Experience with fire doors and equipment maintenance is important.

Key skills required:
Carpentry: Skilled in making, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures.Your Attractive Heading

Fire Door Maintenance: Ensuring fire doors are properly installed, functioning, and compliant with safety regulations.

Electrical Work: Experience with electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Plumbing: Ability to manage, repair, and replace plumbing systems, including water and heating pipes.

Replacing Radiators: Knowledge of radiator installation, replacement, and maintenance for optimal heating.

Window Replacement: Installing, replacing, and repairing windows, ensuring security and insulation.

Plaster Boarding and Skimming: Experience in plastering, including the application of plasterboard and finishing to smooth surfaces.

Gardening: Maintaining outdoor areas, including lawn care, planting, and general landscaping.

Painting: Proficiency in painting walls, doors, and other surfaces to maintain the aesthetic and protective quality of the property.

General Building Knowledge: Ability to handle a variety of tasks, as each day may present new challenges that require quick thinking and adaptability.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with working hours from 9:00 am to 5:00pm, five days a week.
